A government bus traveling from Shivamogga to Thirthahalli experienced a sudden steering failure near Kattehaklu in Thirthahalli taluk. The bus was carrying around 50 passengers at the time of the incident. Due to the driver’s presence of mind and timely action, the bus was brought under control and safely stopped on the roadside, preventing a major accident. No passengers were injured in the incident, and the driver’s alertness helped avert a potential tragedy

ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ: ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕಟ್ಟೆಹಕ್ಲು ಸಮೀಪ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಬಸ್ವೊಂದರ ಸ್ಟೇರಿಂಗ್ ಅಚಾನಕ್ವಾಗಿ ಕಟ್ ಆದ ಘಟನೆ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಚಾಲಕನ ಸಮಯಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಂಭಾವ್ಯ ಭಾರಿ ದುರಂತವೊಂದು ತಪ್ಪಿದೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಈ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಬಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 50ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಚಾಲನೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಸ್ಟೇರಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ತುಂಡರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಚಾಲಕ, ಬಸ್ನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ರಸ್ತೆ ಬದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
